DOSemu is solely for Linux as it is heavily dependent on Linux system calls. 
It's also why I don't run FreeBSD for the BBS.  I prefer FreeBSD over Linux
for many reasons but no DOS emulator (well there is DOSBox-X but it doesn't
support virtualized comports like DOSemu).

SR doors always seemed to have issues in one way or another in my experience. 
Unfortunately, the source code is long gone so it can't be fixed.
