Australia Day is January 26, so we're celebrating with some famous Aussies this week.

before gaining international recognition.

22 degrees from Howard Florey - Australian pharmacologist who made penicillin into an 
effective and useful drug, ten years after Alexander Fleming (who discovered penicillin) 
had abandoned it.

27 degrees from Dawn Fraser - champion freestyle swimmer and Olympian who won 
eight gold medals at three consecutive Olympics Games.

33 degrees from Cathy Freeman - Aboriginal gold medal-winning runner at the 2000 
Sydney Olympics.

27 degrees from Barry Humphries - comedian and satirist.
