Hi Bo,

there are really very few comedies left that are good and at a level where they don't just seem silly.

My favorites are the old black and white comedies, exactly those screwball comedies with brains and a lot of wit, like the ones with Gary Grant:
1. Arsenic and Old Lace
2. Bringing Up Baby
3. Holiday
4. Monkey Business
5. Houseboat 
6. the Philadelphia Story
7. ...

These are all gems of movie history and I love this kind of movie.
