In honor of David Lynch's passing, I decided to revisit the original
theatrical release of DUNE. I've owned the "extended edition", which
David Lynch didn't sign off on. I decided to watch the original release
and compare the two.

I think I liked Lynch's version better - although the exposition at the
beginning of the extended edition does help people who don't know the
books to get caught up with 10,000 years of history in 2 minutes.

There's a 178 minute version that splices the 2-part TV version and the

It's a little jarring when it goes back and forth between television and
movie resolution, but an interesting exercise.
