Louisvillians do pronounced their city name that way, but I don't
remember the show doing so.  I have never heard anyone pronounce
Lexington that way.  A few might drop the 'g' but most seem to pronounce
it the way it is spelled.  To my recollection, the show did also.

I lived in Louisville a long time and always pronounced it Loo-eee-ville
since it is named after King Loo-eee of France.  Most
Loovuhlians/Loo-a-vuhlians think I pronounce it wrong.
