A RARE QUADRUPLE SOLAR FLARE: Sometimes we get excited about a single solar 
flare. This morning the sun produced four flares in quick succession--an almost
simultaneous cascade spanning hundreds of thousands of kilometers. The 
quadruple explosion is an extreme example of a phenomenon called "sympathetic
