A HEADLESS COMET FOR HALLOWEEN? A relatively large sungrazing comet is falling
toward the sun for a very close encounter on Oct. 28th. Astronomers will have a
ringside seat as Comet ATLAS (C/2024 S1) approaches the sun in full view of
SOHO coronagraphs. The flyby could result in a "headless comet" for Halloween.
