Subj : Cycling... it has begun To : All From : n2qfd Date : Mon Mar 25 2024 16:11:33 So.. with a break in the fools spring we're having I finally got out for a ride. 6 miles after nearly a year off the bike seemed acceptable and took out the old Defy 5 which has some 6100 miles on the machine. I was getting some chain jump under load as I pedaled. I'm thinking that is a dry chain and has some frozen links. Any other opinions as to why when you are applying even but heavy force to the chain it might jump teeth on the cassette? For any of you on Strava, there's a handful of us in Elmira, NY I'm the icon with the Snail that goes by Bicycle Commuterman. best 73 -------------------------------- ][ de N2QFD ][ ][ Queen City BBS ][ ][ queencitybbs.ddns.net:607 ][ --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A48 (Raspberry Pi/32) * Origin: Queen City BBS (21:1/154) .
