Subj : Life is good with a Retro Peavey Bandit!

I recently purchased a Peavey Bandit guitar amp from a local kid selling it
on the internet. The thing was absolutely disgusting and totally reeked of pot.
The amp was in working order but all the potentiometers needed a little love.
Very scratchy to put it mildly!  I pulled it all apart and gave the case a good
cleaning (really totally disinfecting and scrubing it with cleaner).  With
stinky smell gone, I then hit all the pots with lots of 99% isoproply alcohol.
Now the thing not only looks like new but sounds like it too. I spent some time
on the Peavey wiki page and it seems this amp was built in the early
1980's  So it seems I have a retro amp now!

                                                                           
Anyway, very happy with this purchase and life is good with any retro
hardware!!
