It is not a difficult thing to understand or use, once you know the basic concepts of it. In this day and age, it is RARELY a problem and "just works". You may have had a bad experience with it long ago or something, when Linux was indeed somewhat difficult to use. It's not that way any more. All right, well.... to each his own, I guess.
