I've not owned a current gen console since the wife bought me one of the xbox models over a decade ago. Steam Deck, on the other hand, was an easy trigger pull vs some gaming laptop for when I travel for work. And more portable to boot. Yeah, when I force it to display to my 4k monitor at the desk they give me for work, a few games are on minimum specs to run well. Helldivers 2 is, on some maps, more like an impressionist work of art. Adds a fun challenge. But other games like MW5 Mercs was hours of coop fun with the guys while hanging out at the office late or checking in from the hotel. Deep Rock Galactic's graphical style lends it to an easy transition to lower spec machine. If anything, consoles these days are little more than prebuilt, spec'd computers running some proprietary OS for people who don't want to worry about operating/maintaining a computer. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A48 (Windows/32) * Origin: Lunatics Unleashed BBS (21:3/135) .
