Subj : Multiplayer arena shooter games To : All From : Nightfox Date : Wed Dec 04 2024 09:03:03 I used to like to play multiplayer arena shooter games a lot. Around 1999-2000 or so, I played Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 Arena online quite a bit, and later went to Unreal Tournament 2004 and Unreal Tournament 3. I also played Duke Nukem Forever online when that came out. Recently, I've occasionally wanted to play arena shooters online again occasionally - mainly Unreal Tournament 3, but over the last few years, I've noticed the list of online servers significantly dwindling. Now, I can't even log in to Unreal Tournament 3, and I've heard Epic has removed the online services for those games. I found that there are still active servers for the original Unreal Tournament (from 1999) though. I always thought that was a fun game, so I migh tbe playing that online again now. I've also heard Quake 3 is still active. Xonotic is a newer, free open-source arena shooter (available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS). It's fun, though it's not very active online, unfortunately.
