Yes! I remember loading up the original MSFS on my IBM XT. It's amazing that it ran as well as it did. I still have my XT... maybe I should reinstall it for old times sake... 

Not exactly a flight sim, but a flying game that I spent way too many hours on back in the day was Jet Fighter 2 for DOS. (256 color VGA graphics). That game was a ton of fun once you got the hang of it. I remember one time seeing how far inland I could fly from CA until my gas tank ran out. I want to say I made it to  Utah-ish but I might be misremembering...
