I would point to MTG instead of Liz.  The Cheneys have always been in the
Elitist camp and not really Republicans.

IHMO: MTG entered Washington a good person, but got corrupted along the line. 
At least she has enough self-awareness to leave before the corruption gets too
bad.

I think that many come in good, but something happens to corrupt them. It would
be interesting to find out how that happens.
