Anyone can talk to the priests but they don't seek our input. They get some money from us, but I think most of their money comes from the Vatican, and officials from the Vatican tell the priest to spend it however he sees fit, which is part of the ridiculousness. (Have you ever had a job like that?)

Praying is excellent, praying in groups is great too, but pooling money without a clear expectation of where it's going is bad.
