I'd forgotten about the bar - when you ordered an alcoholic drink at the
table, they'd come back from a dark bar to bring it to you. Spent many a
weekend post-party debriefing and late night college study session at
Denny's, but never went to the bar.

When I was in college we'd get $1.99 grand slam breakfasts and spent
hours there doing homework. As long as the tables weren't needed, we
were polite and tipped well, the coffee kept coming.

As we said, "you never go to Denny's, you end up there."
