Back in the early 2Ks, when I was attending local sci-fi cons, a bunch of us would get together every couple weeks at a Denny's and just hang out, pig out and usually end up closing the place.  During the Summer, after closing, we'd often hang out in the parking lot just chatting it up.  There was usually about a dozen of us, sometimes more.  Like Bryan Adams said, those were the best times of my life.
