I am finding that SR> the echos are being added to the Fidonet group and not their own You mean when using the 'addnew' function of ftools? That's a documented feature ;-) : """ 6.11 Addnew Automatically add new areas detected during FMail Toss to the FMAIL.AR. FMail will use the default settings defined in the <--- AreaMgr defaults section of FConfig. A name for JAM areas is generated automatically. ÿ FTools Addnew [-A] [-A] AutoExport external config files See paragraph 3.5.2 for which files this relates to, and how to configure them. """ And you have to realize a Group is not the same as a network. Groups are used for giving users access to a number of areas that are part of a group. I have multiple groups for Fidonet areas. Local, Regional, European, and Worldwide areas are in different groups. And FMail has no knowledge which group is used for which network. Personally I don't use the automatic Addnew function of ftools. There are hardly ever any new areas in the networks I'm connected to, and when they arrive I want to handle them manually.
