Subj : Sweet & Sour Okra To : All From : Ben Collver Date : Mon Nov 24 2025 10:42:02 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Sweet & Sour Okra Categories: Indian Yield: 1 Batch 3 c Okra; washed, dried, - chopped 1/2" 1 Onion; chopped 2 c Tomatoes; chopped 1 c Water 1 ts Turmeric powder 1/4 ts Fenugreek powder 1 pn Asafoetida 1 Serrano; slit 2 tb Oil 1 ts Jaggery 1/2 ts Black mustard seeds 1 ts Salt 1 tb Cilantro; chopped Blend the tomatoes with water and set aside. Heat 1 tb oil and saute the onion and okra pods. Add asafoetida, fenugreek powder, and serrano; stir well, until okra pods are cooked. Add the juice from the tomato mixture, salt, turmeric, and jaggery. Boil for 1 minute and remove from heat. In a separate pan, cook mustard seeds in remaining oil until they sputter and add to mixture. Garnish with cilantro leaves.
