Given the traffic I'm getting, I could have been a point some time ago - if I wasn't hubbing. Making it all work and making it look pretty has been its own reward, though. My mom's been a Chromebook user for several years, and the simplicity of the environment and relatively virus-free nature eliminated a lot of potential "support calls" for me. Chrome OS Flex looks pretty good to me, I'm currently trying to get it to run on an old Samsung Chromebook (but they intentionally make it difficult to run on Chromebooks so as to not cannibalize their new market). It's worth a look if your parents aren't technically minded and you don't mind the google ecosystem. I'm a little worried about the future of it, as Google has made comments that they want to move to an Android core for the OS - and Google is good at discontinuing products with a following.
