To add what Digital Man has mentioned, he also made a change to make this a little easier. Basically

bbs.replace_text(720,"%s is somewhere you're not");
bbs.node_action = NODE_CUSTOM;
bbs.nodesync();
bbs.revert_text(720); // if you want to
