Show him a screenshot of your setup. That's the great way to show
you are setup correctly.  I've never heard of this before.

I've setup fidonet just fine and setup other people. i still don't fully
understand it.  but you get the numbers right and it works. I've even fixed 
setups that 'experts' made on other systems that had mistakes.
