Christianity has churches and a belief in God. Not all religions do.

Well, I guess in a loose sense you could equate other places to gather
as 'church.' 

I see atheism as a religion in the sense that it believes in a 
higher TRUTH. To an atheist, the higher truth is that there is
no God. It's not the absence of a belief, but the belief in the
LACK of something. That's still religion, from a certain point
of view...
