The data about it says that it surpasses US Military Grade MIL-STD-810H durability standards which say it must withstand a 4 foot drop to a hard surface or 28kg (61 Lbs) of applied force and survive being submerged in water for a brief time, although they don't guarantee it is totally water proof and for longer dunks in water they 'suggest' turning it off, draining off excess liquid and then letting it sit and dry for 24 hours.
