Definition for the word LID according to ARRL material in the late 1950's is "a
poor operator".
The only legal word that can be sent  by CW or Voice over Amateur Radio
airwaves to insult another operator.

I suppose LID never is in any exams given by civilian VEC's but as I learned by
hanging around the Radioroom Homeroom in High School LID is used instead of a
cussword by Hams to describe someone they don't care to associate with.

HMMM?, think I will search on DuckDuckGo to see if LID has a different meaning
than what I remember.
