There's a lot of factors and uber takes a big cut.
they fuck the customer side and the driver side.
i heard that if your phone battery is low the price can be higher.  Not sure 
if that's true (all the time).

i've used uber and lyft as a customer and last time i paid a ton just to go 
a few miles.  a guy from out of state had to come because my area sucks and 
has no drivers.
