I suspect it has more to do with parents spending less time with their kids, and not setting proper boundaries, than it does with chemicals -- and that is not to say that I discount chemical possibilities. I just suspect a lot of it could be corrected by proper parenting when the kid is young enough that their brain (and thought processes) is still developing.
