I haven't used Proxmox.  My BBS is noticeably faster running natively in the host OS compared to running in VirtualBox, and I'm curious now what the performance would be running in Proxmox or another VM..  Though I think an advantage of running in the host OS is not needing to have resources taken on the machine by a VM.
