I always wanted to do that, figure some way to manage inbound fax when I
ran the BBS and consulted on the side.

Reminded me of a scene in Ted Lasso, when he's trying to find a fax at a
hotel in England to send something to his divorce lawyer. The woman in
line asks if he's trying to get a message to 1997.

Ted says, "Yes, I'm telling myself to buy Apple stock".

The concierge tells him that the hotel does not have one, but he's
contacted a tanning salon a ways away that has one.
