Having a single (or in this case, apparently two) LGBTQ characters on the
show isn't going to trigger most people.  Some shows do go overboard.  One
show I used to watch went from having one lesbian character to a point
where nearly all of the regulars, except the two leads, either
came out as gay, or strangely went from being very straight to gay without
much explanation.

I felt like that was a little over the top, compared to percentages in the
actual population, and could be considered "pandering."  As only some of
the characters were "coupled," I also wasn't sure why their sexual
preferences were even important.

Racist characters of any color, that are not treated as villans, would be a
problem.
