Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  :)

That's what people do when times are good and they have plenty of money.

And when times get bad and money gets tight, they look hard at what they are
spending on.

Right now, there are a good number of people who aren't getting paid to
"protest" because the NGO money has dried up.  Starbucks is closing.  Minimum
wage increases have forced many businesses to close, or automate.  I could go
on, but you get the idea.

So now these people are looking at their 10 streaming subscriptions and saying
"How much do I need these?" and getting mad because they can't get 1 or 2
subscriptions to get all the shows they want.  So they cancel most, if not all,
of them.

In related news, I guess The Pirate Bay is getting more popular again.
