People is subscribed to too much stuff. I have heard there are agencies out there people is hiring to identify unused subscriptions so people can remove them. How crazy is that? I am not convinced subscriptons nowadays are cost-effective. When a Netflix plan was 7 bucks per month, it could be. Now it is more than twice that. For 14 bucks I can buy the series in used DVD packs which will last more than a month, and after I am done with it I still have it (as opposed to a subscription, in which once you are done with it you have nothing). Game subscriptions are situational, but they are going down the drain too. You could justify them somehow when you got to pay under 30 bucks per month and then hurry up and beat some game whose release price is above that. The issue is people is not doing that, people is trying to make the most out of the subscriptions and try to experience as many games as possible per month, which means they play a short while every game before they jump to the next. Compared to that, you can buy a full indie game such as BallisticNG and focus on it until you have 100% completed it, and by the time you are done with it, you will have spent 20 bucks for many months of fun, deep gameplay. -- gopher://gopher.richardfalken.com/1/richardfalken --- þ Synchronet þ Palantir BBS * palantirbbs.ddns.net * Pensacola, FL .
