I don't think they worshiped Biden like die-hard Trump supporters worship
Trump.  I think they liked Biden so much just because he wasn't Trump.

Now, Obama is a different matter and yes some most certainly did border on
worship with him.

Yeah, "Obama days" was when I first really noticed it. I suspect it has to
do with the popularity of social media and the political parties realizing
they could manipulate people with it.  I used to think that Obama used
Twitter too much, for example.  The thought then was that Republicans
didn't know how to (ab)use social media, then Trump came along and showed them
how.
