It was that, in his official capacity, a government official (the highest one) was hawking them. I have worked in government and know that is an ethics violation/conflict of interest. > Anyway, I voted for Trump, I also did the first two times. > I am not opposed to the work Elon is doing, I am not opposed to the concept, but the way he is doing it is stupid. Many things they supposedly "cut" have had to be put back in place because what they did was illegal, and most of the employees they fired are back, with back-pay for time not worked, because they illegally fired them and now it will be more difficult to get rid of any of the ones that actually deserved firing. For someone who is supposed to be working on efficiency, he is doing things in the most inefficient (read costly) way possible. > and I > like the concept of EV's. However, I won't buy one for the simple fact that > I'm driving a gasoline powered car, and I run out of gas ANYWHERE, then I can > just get a gas can, go to a gas station, get some gas, bring it back to my ar > and carry on. The same cannot be said for an EV. No one is bringing any > electricity to you unless you get struck by lightning. That is what I don't like about them also. If I needed a second car, and they were cheap enough, I would consider one for "around town" driving. I would not take it on most of the vacations I go on as they usually involve the road less traveled. * SLMR 2.1a * OS/2 2.0: Taking the wind out of Windows. --- þ Synchronet þ CAPCITY2 * capcity2.synchro.net * Telnet/SSH:2022/Rlogin/HTTP .
