I've never been, but I'd think there's enough room in D.C. for different groups to hold rallies at the same time. It might not have been the smartest move, but I don't think that alone makes him automatically guilty. People still have to be responsible for their own actions. And who knows - maybe he really did think the Dems would bail out anyone arrested, like other cities. If he'd stayed at Mar-a-Lago or done nothing that day, his level of blame would look different. Holding a rally in the same city on the same day certainly looks bad, and I can see why folks think he shares some blame for the environment it created. I can only say that I wouldn't have done it.
