Well that turned out a disappointment. Both disks spin up, and get noticed by
the bios or OS, when attached to a computer, either directly or on a pata/usb
interface. But not without all kinds of errors. And when I try to communicate
with them to get some data of the disks, all I get is errors. So not a single
byte could be retrieved from them.

I'm probably going to store them in a cupboard somewhere, in the minute hope a
future opportunity will present itself to retrieve some data from them. ;-)
