   it's  December  and  you know  what  that  /        _/         /         /

   last year I floated the idea of a Bootleg   /        _/         /_       _/
Xmas[1]  and  because  we're  all  busy  and  /-        /        _/         /
distracted only  a few  people participated.  \________/\________/\___/____/
but they were the important people, the kind
of people that like  to do stuff for fun and not gain,  the kind of people who
consider "friend" more of a verb than a noun.

   those are the kind of people that Christmas should be about.

   so who's up for round two? maybe me, maybe you?

   I should have done better last year so I'm going to do better this year and
I'll post pics on fedi[2] as I  go. if more than three people participate this
year I'll try and do a round up post  so if you share what you've made with me
via whatever means necessary, I'll be sure to do the same.

   above all, though, make sure you have  fun. be as clumsy or creative as you
want to be,  don't let stuffy stick-in-the-muds brow beat  you into not making
someting cool  or goofy  because it's "stealing"  from a  multimillion dollar,
faceless industry or billion dollar  franchise. they don't actually care about
the industry or the franchise in question,  they just want you to feel bad for
having friends and being creative.

   you know EXACTLY the kind of person I'm talking about[3]. <3
