  Toying with the font, a line to the left of the lettering provides an
interesting highlight effect, emphasising the fact that the letters are
raised. I've altered the width of some of the lines, and the spacing as
well. I can't really decide which of the following I prefer:

  You may want to consider changing the character that makes the letters.
The asterisk can look quite bright, but depends on the font. The caret
darkens the text, but emphasises the raising of the letters extremely well

  Here are some variations on the pillar idea. The effect you had where
the characters changed with height could be used to good effect. Note the
@ and 8 characters may look the wrong way round depending on the font. I
personally think the third pillar has the most "character".....

  So a proposal for the final logo (I also changed the characters being
used for the ground, it moves it closer to the base of the pillars), with
put an additional line above the top of the pillars.
