As a simple-minded child, I always wondered if the solar wind was the same as magnetic repulsion -- because the comet's tail being blown back from the sun _precisely_ mimicked the way a sewing pin (head +, point -) reacted when circling one end (-) of a magnet. But now that I am a mature adult and learned in the ways of science, I use that same magnet to hold notes on my refrigerator, and stick the sewing pins into this little cloth doll of my repulsive ex-business partner.
