I highly recommend the following book, CREATE STEREOGRAMS ON YOU PC by
Dan Richardson.  Contains an excellent description about stereograms
(3-D) images.  Also contains lessons (eye exercises) to use cross-eyed
or paralled methods.  Best of all, the book contains companion diskette
software to help you create your own images.
