It is a children's story written by a mathematician. (I forget his name.) If anybody out there can *improve the art* and re-post it, I would really appreciate it. ;) Once upon a time, there was a Straight Line and a Dot. ----- . The Line fell in love with the Dot. But, the Dot did not like the Line. She said, "You're boring and too plain." The Dot left the Line and went off with a Squiggly Line. ----- . /\/\)\ --> The Squiggly Line was fun, abstract, funny, and had everything the Dot had wanted. The (Straight) Line became depressed. For days, he pondered how he could impress the Dot and win her back. So the Line went up to the Dot. He said, "I can be abstract," -==-= . /\/\)\ \ ?! "dazzling," /\ / \ /\/\)\ \ / . \/ \ (By the way, the Line was able to bend himself.) !! "funny," \ @X@ \ \ . /\/\)\ \ hoho.. "and romantic.." __ __ / \ / \ | - | | | \ / \ / \ / . /\/\)\ \_/ \ *** The Dot asked the Squiggly Line, "What can you do?" ----- ; /\/\)\ The Squiggly Line tried, tried, and tried.. But, he coudln't do anything. He was just a plain, squiggly line. /\/\)\..... . \ ... So the Line and the Dot went off together, / /\/\)\ / /. / to the sunset, ___ / \ | | --------- |. and lived happily ever after. The End. Like I said, I'd appreciate improvement on the art.
