Hi. I'm Sascha Segan, and I'm a reporter with The Baltimore Sun -- we're a
paper in Baltimore, MD USA. I'm doing an article on ASCII art, and I'm
wondering a bunch of things about the medium. (Yeah, I know about the LA
Times article. We don't compete with them.) If you feel like answering

don't bother to flame, because I have a 'D' key and I know how to use it.

* What has attracted you to the medium of ASCII art? Why do you do it? Why
not just make GIFs?
* Do you have an art background? If not, how did you get into this?
* How much time do you spend on this stuff?
* Do you think things like GIFSCII demean the medium by automating it?
What's the future of ASCII art?
