many thanks for the bug reports etc. I have fixed both of the bugs and

Good catch! That was simple to fix.

This problem turned out to be nasty. For fixing it, I had to make a lot
of changes to all of the tools. Hopefully I did not break any of them...

Right. I will think about it. Problem is, that the textarea is editable,
in order to modify the pattern... So I think I need to toggle between
editable (= no preview) and not editable (= preview).

For the moment, I just made a very small change: JavE now remembers the
pattern last chosen from the library.

Isn't than what happens when hitting the "Add..." button? It creates a
new pattern, instead of overwriting existing ones, though...

I fixed that. The default pattern is now contained in the pattern
library: "Honeycomb".

It is very hard to improve the existing algorithm... One option is to
change the tool, so that at least for small circles, the circles will be
chosen from a fixed setup, contained in a (new) configuration file. To
cover all the circles from 1 x 1 to 13 x 13 this means one has to draw
7*7=49 circles by hand...
