This one is different from the native one, the operating system provides. Besides the fact that the Java file chooser has less features, it also has performance problems on some systems. So as workaround I decided to add an advanced option the JavE's preferences. It is available in this integration build: http://www.jave.de/developer/jave_6.0_i20080525.zip Choose the menu item "View" > "Preferences" and in "Advanced" select the option "Use native file chooser dialog.". Then instead of the Java Swing file chooser, the native file chooser will be used. This has some consequences: - Advantages: - much faster - same functions and look&feel as in other applications - Disadvantages: - the filter combobox for file types always shows *.* instead of dedicated types actually supported - the dialog appears in the top left corner instead of centered to the application Please check it out.
