(no, it didn't occur to me to suggest that) :-) When I first made my chat (in 1998) people started talking about how we should all meet in one place IRL. Somebody (Joan? Shanaka?) suggested Summer 2000 as a good time. Somebody else (me?) suggested Amsterdam as a good place and people seemed to like that suggestion. Unfortunately, in 2000 everybody seemed to be either too broke or too busy/tired.
