Needs some tweaking still.  Maybe you should normalize
the picture before converting it, so that the dark areas
come out ' ' and the light areas '@' (or vice versa; I
don't know which way you intend it to be viewed :)

I guess Lichtenstein's images are double-hard, because
of the whole Benday dots thing.  Still, this image only
looks recognizable if I squint or scroll by it really
quickly.  The contours are all jaggedy, when I'd expect
a Lichtenstein ASCII to be even *more* stylized and
smooth than most.
