It's 3-d, you either relax your eyes or cross your eyes to see a stereogram. Stare at the center of the strip and relax your eyes. As you do so, you'll see the vertical lines separate from a combined image from both eyes (like normal, like when reading) into a double-vision kind of thing (like daydreaming) with drifting-apart images from the separate eyes.
