I am amazed. It's quite an art to be able to make pictures out of numbers, letters and symbols..Awesome.... I personally do not think the death of HAL should be seen as comedic. Actually, I think its pretty sad. The part that's saddest to me is when HAL has lost so much of his 'mind', he starts singing a song 'daisy'. The first thing HAL ever learned. Dave did the one thing that HAL didn't like, take away his genius abilities. How anybody could think it's funny that an emotionless(?) robot is begging for his life is beyond me. Especially since the movie leaves us to wonder if HAL really did have feelings or not. Anyway, that's just my thought about it. Thanks guys for the ascii!
