In my room I have a jar that is being used to help 5824 with her fear of bugs. Each time she or I find a bug in the house we put it in the jar. Most of these are spiders. And spiders need food. So I also go outside at night and grab a few moths from around the light for them to feed on. The other day I got a green moth that is about an inch wide at the wings and is designed like a tobacco moth. Never seen a green one before. Well last night I found a very large grass spider in the room. It took some effort but I finally caught the thing. His body without its legs is about half an inch long. His legs are each a touch longer than that and his fangs are huge. Well he has in the last 16 hours eaten both a spider that looks like a male black widow (but isn't) and that green moth. Unlike the other spider that catches something, liquefies the insides, sucks it dry, and drops it to the bottom of the jar, this guy guy just chomps on what ever it finds. The legs of its first meal and the wings of its last meal are still laying in the jar. It is warm here in San Diego right now. But in less than 31 days the temp will have dropped by 7 degrees American and we will be out of summer and into normal San Diego temps again. The spiders and moths will start to go away just as the June bug's have already done.
