The side on view seems to suck - maybe top down with fill art? Hm, many years ago BI (Before Internet) when I was still on BBSs, a friend and I did a few silly BBS based games that were of a similar style. Though, we were trying to imitate full price graphicy games in ANSI art. It turned out quite well. Sadly, the source got lost in an HD crash years back. I'd be interested in helping if you want a programmer, but my ASCII ability sucks somewhat these days. > Any ideas anyone? Any sites specialising in small ASCII art? As far as credits go, I'd make a credits screen in the game with a list of all the artists who's art you used, and make sure its in the readme etc too. That way you might get away with removing the sig if it messes up the game, but ask the artist before you do that. A nerdboy game in the style of mario or something might work out better, since the characters are small ish and leaves lots of space for levels etc. Also they're pretty expressive. Hmmm ... maybe I'll do that :)
